CalFresh is California's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. If you are low income you can get help to buy more food with a plastic card that works like a debit card. Each month, funds are added to the card to help you buy food. Any funds not spent will roll over to the next month.

You may be able to get CalFresh if you are a U.S. citizen or a legal resident who is:

• Living on a fixed income for age or disability. SSI recipients qualify now for CalFresh!
• Working, but not making much money. Even if you are working, if your income is low, you can qualify for help to get food.
• Unemployed
