Empty Bowls is an international project to Fight Hunger. You will choose a bowl to use for dinner and to keep as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world. The meal is intentionally simple, consisting of soup and bread. In exchange for the meal and the bowl, a $15 donation is recommended but please join us and donate what you can afford. No Food Items Please. After the dinner there will be a Contra Dance with live music and no partner necessary. The dance is a separate ticket available at the event for a reduced rate of $10 for Empty Bowls participants.

All of the profits from Empty Bowls Dinner and Contra Dance will go to Hunger Action LA (HALA), a coalition of low income Los Angeles county residents and community stakeholders addressing food insecurity through education, advocacy and direct services.
