Hello---I’ve heard from some of you who can’t make it to the Strategic Planning initial meeting this Friday, but don’t have confirmation from everyone who CAN make it. Please let me know if you can be there!

When: This Friday, August 10

9:30 am to 12 Noon (9:30 to 10 will be time to get some refreshments and review materials; the real business of the meeting will begin at 10 and go to noon)

Location: St. Mary’s Church (home of HALA)

The Strategic Planning meeting will bring together staff of HALA, board members, community group members, and key partners (farmers markets) to discuss where HALA’s been, where it’s going, what to keep doing, what to improve, and what to toss. We won’t get it all done Friday: in fact this is just an initial meeting to get together. HALA has several different parts these days and some of you have not met each other, yet we’re all working on the same thing!

Our longtime colleague Neelam Sharma will be guiding us through this process. She’s done it for several groups around the state and we look forward to working with her.

Please review the attached document. It’s a summary of what HALA is doing now and the basis for our “Getting Started” on Friday.
